About Us

Guernsey Alzheimer’s Association – Over 15 Years of Caring

The Guernsey Alzheimer’s Association was launched in 2009 with one simple aim: to create a supportive and understanding community for people living with dementia and those who care for them.

We are a dedicated and passionate team, many of whom have personal experience of caring for someone with dementia. This means we truly understand the challenges and uncertainty a diagnosis can bring. We’re committed to helping islanders live well with dementia, making life a little brighter and hopeful whatever their personal circumstances.

We offer friendly social activities, practical support and genuine companionship. From joining others for a chat at one of our social afternoons or finding someone to sit with your loved one while you take a break, to getting helpful information or advice - we’re here for you.

In 2010, we were honoured to receive The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service, recognising the dedication of our team and the positive impact of our work.

Whatever your experience of dementia, we’re here to listen, care and support you every step of the way.
